Fuel Efficiency Features of the Dodge Grand Caravan
The Dodge Grand Caravan has long been admired for its comfort and capacity. Perfect for carrying groups on short trips or long journeys, the new Grand Caravan incorporates innovative fuel-saving features for a ride that is both comfortable and more eco-friendly.
To streamline the engine’s fuel consumption, Dodge retooled the transmission to work in tandem with engine timing, reducing shift points to a lower speed in order to conserve fuel. The result is a smoothly accelerating engine that consumes less gasoline as its speed increases than in previous models. Drivers can access this conservation mode by pressing the Econ button on the dashboard.
The Grand Caravan also incorporates 17-inch tires with a low-resistance design that allows the vehicle to move smoothly down the highway using less fuel to propel itself forward. The result of these fuel-saving measures is an upper limit of 25 mpg on the highway, allowing for a range of up to 500 miles on a full tank of gas.
