RAM 1500

Power

The base engine in the RAM 1500 is a 3.6-liter V6 engine that puts out 305 horsepower and 269 lb-ft of torque. There are three other engine options to choose from.

• 7-liter V8: 395 horsepower and 410 lb-ft of torque
• 0-liter V6 diesel: 260 horsepower and 480 lb-ft of torque
• Supercharged 6.2-liter V8: 702 horsepower and 650 lb-ft of torque

All engines are mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission. Rear-wheel drive is standard, but four-wheel drive is an option.

Towing and Hauling

The RAM 1500 has outstanding towing and hauling ability. When properly equipped, it can tow up to 12,560 pounds and haul up to 2,090 pounds.

You can get either a 5-foot-7-inch or 6-foot-4-inch bed, which can come with cargo lights, RamBox® storage bins, and a 60/40-split multifunction tailgate.

Interior

The RAM 1500 has a roomy interior that can fit up to six people. Synthetic leather and cloth upholstery come standard.

Upgrades include genuine leather upholstery, eight-way power-adjustable front seats, and heated and ventilated front and rear seats. Standard tech features include USB ports, push-button start, and an infotainment system with a five-inch touchscreen.

RAM 2500

Power

The RAM 2500 comes with a 6.4-liter V8 engine that produces 410 horsepower and 429 lb-ft of torque. You can also go with a 6.7-liter diesel version that pumps out 370 horsepower and 850 lb-ft of torque.

Towing and Hauling

The base engine will let you tow up to 14,370 pounds, and the diesel engine increases that to 19,010 pounds. This truck has a maximum payload of 3,240 pounds.

Interior

The RAM 2500 fits from three to six people, depending on the cab you go with. It can also be outfitted with a number of tech features, including navigation, a Wi-Fi hot spot, and three 115-volt outlets.
